We’re Gonna Make It Livestream Shows 2020
Ted is doing Facebook Live shows almost every Wednesday (5pm PST) and Satuday (noon PST). It’s the “We’re Gonna Make It” series broadcast right from Ted’s home studio, The Den. Ted has also done many extra FB and Instagram live shows to help promote the release of Down In The Den including shows on 7/29 hosted by SixthMan and the Outlaw Country Cruise and 7/30 hosted by Americana Highways. Please check Tour Dates for other special live streaming and live shows.
In the Studio
Ted has been producing up a storm in his home studio, The Den. Currently in the works are new records by Mike Dawson and the Smoking Kills, Pete Murcott and Clay DuBose. Also, the new record by Emily Zuzik called Torch and Trouble will be coming out in August. Ted produced and played on the record as well as co-wrote a few of the songs with Emily. There is also a new Tawny Ellis record called Love Life that is set to be released on July 24. Ted co-wrote 3 of the songs on with Tawny and produced them in the Den as well. Ted is also working on a record with a new band and collaborative project called Stash with Joey Peters and Rich McCulley.
Grammy Winning Bass Player
Ted won his first Grammy this year for playing bass on the Country Album of the Year, Tanya Tucker’s ‘While I’m Livin’. It was produced by Shooter Jennings and Brandi Carlile at Sunset Sound in L.A. The other musicians on the record were Phil and Tim Hanseroth, Chris and Eleanor Masterson and Chris Powell.
Ted, Shooter & Duff McKagan tour dates
2019 is shaping up to a great year of making music on the road. I’ll be doing some TRK solo and band shows including my L.A. CD release show at the Hotel Cafe on April 12 where I’ll play a set of my own and also play with the Hawt-thorns. I’ll also be touring a lot and playing with my old friend, Shooter Jennings – including some shows where I will be his opening act! I’ll also be playing with Duff McKagan on a bunch of tour dates this year. Shooter produced Duff’s new record which comes out this year and features the rest of the Shooter Jennings Band. Duff, being a truly great rock bass player (he was driving force behind Guns n’ Roses and Velvet Revolver), didn’t really need another bass player on the record, but I’ll be playing bass in his band as we bring the show on the road.
I’ll be staying in touch on FB and instagram and please check the tour dates page of the website.

Heart Under Pressure video
With the release of my new record Walkin’ Shoes, I’m in the process of making some videos to put up online to help spread the word about the record. Here’s a video, we shot in L.A. in February of 2019 for the song “Heart Under Pressure”. I co-wrote this one with Mark Webb and it features my good friend and special guest Jaime Wyatt. The video was directed by Fernando Cordero of Industrialism Films and our hair, make up, psychologist and shoot guru was Karman Kruschke. On the recording, the drums were played by Aaron Goodrich, the main electric guitar was played by Danny Echevarria and I played everything else. In the video, we have my good friends Jim Doyle on drums, Dan Wistrom on guitar, Jeff Howell on Wurlitzer and Jaime Wyatt singing and playing acoustic guitar. The video debuted on March 15, the release date on the great Roots Music website http://www.turnstyledjunkpiled.com

Writing & Producing in The Den
One of the things I love the most is making music in the studio. I am in the middle of producing a great record for the insanely talented Emily Zuzik. She’s a truly talented and eclectic singer and songwriter. We co-wrote a few of the songs together and she wrote many of the songs on her own and I have been helping to arrange and record them. We did most of the basic tracking at the Station House Studio in L.A. and have been doing the overdubbing at my studio, The Den.
I’ve also been working a lot with the great Tawny Ellis. We have been writing and recording together some songs that will hopefully be a part of her new record which should come out later this year.
I’m also in the middle of producing a great eclectic record for Clay DuBose. We’ve written most of the songs together and have done two sets of basic tracks. The first set of songs were mixed by the great Jim Scott.
